Where Should One Go For A Calm, Month-long Vacation In Italy?

I would say anywhere in the Cinque Terre. The Cinque Terre (5 lands) is composed of 5 small villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Manarola, Corniglia, Riomaggiore. The Cinque Terre is a National Park and Unesco World Heritage site. They are tiny towns on cliffs overlooking the water…It’s like a piece of heaven. You can get there by train and they have great hikes between them. They are so nice and I would love to back. These towns are easy distance by train from Florence, Pisa and Tuscany. It is so relaxing and remote and the people are wonderful. I recommended going in the fall which is not tourist time. I would not go in the summer
especially July!
Google images of them and you will see what I mean… talking about it makes me want to go back! :)

If you want a nice relaxing vacation, i recommend staying away from tourist spots like Tuscany (unless you can rent a private villa away from the crowds), Rome, and the amalfi coast. Some less touristy places that are extremely underrated include Sicily, the lake Como region, the entire eastern half of the country except for Venice, and one of my favorites, the northwest coast area (anywhere from Genoa to carrara). Some of these areas do have a good amount of tourism but they are at least way less than some of the major cities and areas.

I am Italian, and if you want a calm, month.long, vacation in Italy, you can go to Chiavari, on Liguria.
