Do Florence, Rome, Pisa, And Naples Make A Good First Trip To Italy?

3 girls age 19 and one of their boyfriends are going to Italy.
We are planning 2-3 days in each Florence, Rome, and Naples and 1 day in Pisa, plus maybe shorter trips to other nearby cities, but we will only be in Italy about 10 days in January.
What do you think of this itinerary? (should we do venice and milan instead even though its supposed to be freezing cold and its a lot of walking? what other day trips should we try to make?)
Which cities will be safe for 2 female 19 yr olds to go out and enjoy nightlife while the other two would rather not go (we only expect to go out a couple nights anyway)?
Should we stay in a different hotel in each city or should we stay in one base hotel and take day trips?
Will this itinerary offer us a good variety of art, culture, history, and modern life (we have a wide variety of interests)?
I’m taking the reigns and planning this all on my own so I can ensure it’s an amazing trip for everyone so do you have any other advice?

Two more places that i would Highly suggest you go to are Lucca and Sienna.
Since you said that you are planning to go to Florence and Pisa, it would be no problem to visit Lucca since it it right in between both cities. It is a midiveal city with a wall biult around it and it has a lot of culture and good food. It is very different. and Sienna is very beautiful and has a lot of charm.
Good luck planning, I’m sure you guys will have an amazing trip!

I LOVED Italy. I went when I was 21 and stayed for 3 months! Very safe and fund place to just tour around. I would spend 2 full days in Rome, you will need at least a half a day for the Vatican, which is a MUST even if you are not religious. I would spend 2 days in Florence. ( Aqua al Due is the best restaurant there, order the blueberry stake, trust me. ) Naples is a very scary place. I did not leave my hotel after dusk, but you need to go through there in order to see Pompeii. I would see Siena, and the little towns in Chianti instead. I lived in Siena and it was Beautiful. Or I would do Venice instead of Napoli. E-mail with any questions if you want.
